Walter L. Nelson

Walter (Wally) L. Nelson is president, Equipment Businesses & Technical Solutions, at 熊猫体育官方. He is responsible for the company’s Equipment businesses (Membrane Solutions, Gardner Cryogenics and Rotoflow); Standard Plant Solutions; Chief Engineer’s Office; Global Technology; Operational Excellence; Environmental Health, Safety and Quality; and Sustainability. His organization integrates technical knowledge, operational excellence, and safety and sustainability expertise with the company’s products, supporting 熊猫体育官方’ four regional businesses and projects.

Mr. Nelson joined 熊猫体育官方 in 1990 as a regional project manager in the Industrial Gas Division in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1994 he transferred to corporate headquarters in Allentown, where he progressed through a variety of engineering and operations positions. In 1999 Mr. Nelson relocated to London, England, as a business development manager for the air separation business. After three years overseas, he returned to Allentown and joined the helium business in a variety of operations and commercial positions, culminating in his appointment to vice president, Global Helium and Rare Gases in 2024.

Mr. Nelson holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota and served as an engineering officer in the XVIII Airborne Corps of the United States Army from 1986-1990.
